a 2 year old GIRL ...

I was expecting a perfect little girl that tells on her brothers... well that hasn't happened yet!  She gets into just as much trouble as they did, maybe even more!  She is pretty good and easy going most of the time... but when she does want something, or wants to do it herself, or doesn't want to do something... she will let you know, and she won't give up... a little like her mama...   It probably doesn't help she is the baby of the family... so sometimes we just give in to her!
She was pretty proud of this powder mess she created while I was on the phone with the cell phone company!... It could have been a lot worse... she has tried changing her own poopy pants numerous times before I even knew she had pooped... its a BIG mess when she tries that!  She also loves to try to feed our cat and dog... lots of times there have been heeping mounds of dog food on our floor!  She knows how to use the scissors to open her own go gurt, and the other day I caught her on the counter using a very sharp knife to cut open a banana.  She likes to find ink pens and color all over herself and her clothes.  Yes I watch her... but I can't stick with her EVERY second of the day.  Say a little prayer for Tyra's safety! :)
Oldest brother Griffin-7 and Tyra before church one morning!  HE is a very protective big brother to all his siblings!
She isn't ALWAYS naughty... she is a little ham too!  LOVING THE LITTLE GIRL CLOTHES... obviously!
AND THIS PICTURE YOU SEE RIGHT HERE... IT NEVER HAPPENS... I THINK THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY TIME IT HAS!  She hasn't taken naps since she was 1 1/2!  There are still some days that I try, but no luck... she doesn't need much sleep... another thing just like her mama.  She RARELY ever falls asleep in the car, even if it is late at night!   I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked out of my room to find this one day... she actually fell asleep in daddie's chair while watching a movie!!!
She keeps me busy that is for sure!  But I am glad... next year all 3 boys will be getting on the bus for school!  Some days it will be just me and her!  WAY TOO CRAZY to even think about!
We love this 2 year old girl so much!

PARTY TIME!!!

BIRTHDAY KIDS!!! Gannon turned 6, and Tyra turned 2!  We celebrated with the Dykstra side of the family by going to Milt's Pizza and then to the skating rink.  It was also Riley, Logan, Danya and Kenya's birthday party!
Gannon one of your favorite things you got was a remote control hex bug!
Doing the Hokey Pokey at the skating rink.  You guys LOVED the skating rink and keep asking to go back.  It was your first time going to the skating rink, but Griffin and Gannon you guys know how to rollerblade really well already, Gunnar you learned how to skate while you were there!
Papa and Nana gave Tyra this bike for her birthday.  She already has learned some tricks from her brothers!

I cannot believe my baby girl is 2!  This has been the longest amount of time I haven't been pregnant for 8 years!!!!  Also the longest amount of time not having either a 1 year old or a baby!

Getting ready for the Mouw side of the family birthday party!
Gannon's sword cake I made for him!
Tyra's littlest pet shop cake I made for her!
Grandpa Rick and Grandma Debba got Gannon a new big bike!
After eating, opening presents and cake and ice cream at Grandpa Rick and Grandma Debbas we went swimming to Homestead!
All the Guys!
Some of the cousins in the hot tub!
Grandpa Rick, Auntie Stacy, and Grandma Debba
Avery and Tyra at Milts Pizza.
March-June are pretty busy at our house!  EVERYONE'S birthdays in our family fall into those months and spring sports, church and school programs, finishing up school stuff, and the start of summer vacations!

GANNON-  I cannot believe you are 6 years old!!! Time really does fly!  You are still our little jokester boy and you have gotten pretty good at convincing people of just about anything you want to make up.  You are sweet, caring, always the first one to say thank you, I love you, give a hug, kiss. You do a great job praying and you are always nice to everyone. You still love swords, ninja stuff and star wars things. But you have really started to love basketball, soccer, football and baseball.  You are great at riding bike, rollerblading, and math ( you can do all of Griffin's math papers which is first grade stuff and you are only in pre-school)  WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

TYRA-  You are still our sweet little girl ... along with some 2 year old tantrums... just because you think you can do EVERYTHING yourself!  Some of the things you think you can do are... zip up your sweatshirt, button your shirts, get in and out of the car yourself and buckle yourself, walk in a parking lot yourself, get your shoes on yourself... a lot of these things lead to some outburst by you!  I guess you got a little of your mama's stubbornness :)  Most of the time you are smiling, happy, easy going, and sweet.  You are girly in some ways... you like to wear sunglasses, and carry a purse, you like to put on chap stick and try on lots of shoes all day long.  You play with babies a tiny bit, but you mostly like little animal stuff.  You are a tom-boy in lots of ways too, you are very aggressive... probably our most aggressive kid, you tackle, you love to play basketball and soccer with your brothers, you want to wear "jammie pants" all the time when we are home, you say words like butt, and poop.  In general though, you talk a lot and can for sure put 3 words together.  Daddy calls you "girlfriend" all the time and has trained you to only kiss him!  You love to ride your skitter, play outside, color with a pen and notepad (and sometimes yourself and your clothes), you like to talk on the phone.  You are about 1/2 way potty trained.  You don't wear diapers during the day anymore... but mommy has to take you pee every 30 minutes!  You hide to poop or you go in your diaper before you come out of your room in the morning... but you are the last one to be potty trained, so mommy is determined to get it done!  WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH TOO!!!
